No Surrender Running Club
No Surrender Running Club is a program that believes all youth have the potential within themselves to be successful and do great things in life. Some youth, especially urban youth, face many obstacles that can make success seem almost unattainable. No Surrender and Base Camp partner together to work with young people to help them achieve the impossible. In an era where young people are comfortable to sit in front of the TV and play video games, No Surrender not only helps young people meet difficult challenges and conquer them, but it also promotes health and fitness to young people who otherwise typically lead very sedentary lives.
Runners train throughout the year and compete in several organized races, such as the Grand Rapids Mud Run and the Cereal City 10k. The year culminates with No Surrender runners completing either the Grand Rapids Half Marathon (13.1 miles) or the Grand Rapids Bridge Run (10 miles).
